Carrie Coe and Pamela Miller have been riding and training dressage for more than 20 years. They and their students have won regional and national titles at every level from training through FEI. They began Seven Oaks in 1992 and, a few years later, were joined by their associates, Chauna Gaona, Sarah Rosenberg, Mary Murray and Caitlin Hoeber. Providing much-needed assistance are Lisa Gianotti, Helen Dinnigan, and Pat Cambell. |

Carrie has trained and ridden many horses from their first baby moments through Grand Prix. With the Seven Oaks horses Zeal and Gavilan, she has placed first, second or third at almost every level at the USEF championships. She has also won multiple USDF horse of the year awards. Carrie currently competes several of her students' horses, as well as Seven Oaks school horses, while she waits for a few Seven Oaks homebreds to be under saddle. Her degree in psychology and education helps her to translate her natural talent for dressage into a system that is easy for both humans and equines to understand. When she isn't riding, Carrie likes to swim and to read about quantum mechanics.

Pamela has also trained and ridden horses at all levels of dressage. She has placed in the top five at many USEF championships, as well as winning USDF horse of the year awards. She currently competes Seven Oaks horses--both customers' horses as well as school horses--while she waits for some of the Seven Oaks homebreds to grow up. Her experience teaching obscure Italian poetry allows her to have patience and a creative lecturing style, which makes the dressage lessons that she gives entertaining as well as informative. When she isn't riding, Pamela likes to play with her dog, Maggie, and watch "Third Rock from the Sun" re-runs. |

| Chauna joins Carrie and Pamela in riding and competing at all levels of dressage. Most recently, she competed several Seven Oaks' customer horses, from Meg at training level to Largo at Prix St Georges. Her bi-lingual abilities make it easy for her to speak "horse." Before working at Seven Oaks, she galloped babies at the racetrack, which gives her a unique understanding of the difference between "fast" and "forward." When she isn't riding, Chauna swims, runs, kickboxes, rock climbs, plays the cello and drinks coffee. | ![]() |
| Mary has been riding all her life and has been teaching dressage for over twenty-five years. Her former career as a museum curator gave her a unique appreciation for the art of dressage. When she isn't riding, Mary works to finish her first novel and takes her dog, Devi, to the beach. | ![]() |
| Sarah has been riding all her life. As well as having a very successful show career in dressage, she has competed at the Preliminary level in 3-day eventing. Sarah's former career was as a chef and she uses her recipes for dressage to help her students improve. When she isn't riding, she and her husband, Paul, take their dog, Chloe, to the beach. | ![]() |
| Caitlin is one of our youngest and oldest students: she started riding with us before she hit her teens and has never stopped--that's years of experience. Caitlin recently compeleted her BA in English literature--we don't know how she plans to use it in her dressage career. | ![]() |
| Helen has been riding and competing dressage and eventing for much of her life. Most recently, she and her horse, Jiggs, were the top scoring Thoroughbred at the Coastal Classic. Helen's former job was teaching English in Japan. She shares the reputed Japanese work ethic and we are in awe of her stamina. When she isn't riding, we bet that she's working on her next two careers--artist and stand-up comic. | ![]() |
| Pat retired from the corporate world and now has a much better job--playing with horses. She plans to compete her Welsh-paint gelding, Calypso, at dressage shows in the coming years. | ![]() |
| Lisa came with her family from Switzerland. She competes a Seven Oaks school horse, "Balou". When she isn't riding, she teachers her daughter, Alicia, to ride Teddy. | ![]() |
| Tina has a day job, but she is just as happy to help us out. Her current competition mount is Berry, a Seven Oaks' school horse. | ![]() |
