Seven Oaks has a small breeding program, intended to create a few good horses for us, our staff, and our students. We very rarely sell outside the barn, but the right home can be a persuasive argument, so feel free to contact us if you see someone who tickles your fancy... (Unless otherwise noted, all of the horses below belong to Carrie & Pamela.)	All of the horses below are by our own stallion, the Hanoverian "Gavilan," or by "Ijsselmeer," a Dutch stallion owned by Dr. Deborah Harrison. Our current and past broodmares are varied: 2 Dutch, 1 Swedish, 1 Trakehner & 1 Welsh cob. This information about our home-bred horses is current as of January, 2010.
Justin was born in July of 2009. He is a bay colt (not for long!), with a lot of chrome. He is by Gavilan, out of Molly, a Welsh cob mare. We will back him in the summer of 2012. In the meantime, here he is, in all his glory.
Esme was born in May of 2009. She is a bright bay filly with chrome, by Ijsselmeer, out of Kessel (Jorka), a Dutch Warmblood mare. A full sister to Zoe, below, we expect her to mature to at least 17 hands. We will back her in the summer of 2012. In the meantime, you can see her (sort of), with her sisters. Esme is on the left, lying down, and on the far right, standing.
Griffin was born in August of 2008. He is a dark bay gelding, by Gavilan out of Thea (Perdita), a Dutch Warmblood mare. A full brother to Eli, below, we expect him to mature to around 17 hands. We will back Griffin in the summer of 2011. We'll try to get a photo between now and then.
Ginnie was born in August of 2008. She is a bay mare, by Gavilan, out of Molly, a Welsh cob mare. We had hoped for a smaller baby, but she looks to mature over 16 hands. We will back her in the summer in 2011. In the meantime, we have these pictures. She is in the middle of the 3 fillies in one photo and by herself in the other.
Daria was born in June of 2008. She is a grey mare, by Ijsselmeer, out of Kessel (Jorka), a Dutch Warmblood mare. A full sister to Zoe, below, we expect her to mature to at least 17 hands. We will back her in the summer of 2011. In the meantime, you can see her (sort of), with her sisters. Daria is on the right, lying down, and on the far left, standing.
Minty was born in August of 2006. He is a bay gelding with some chrome and will probably mature about 16 hands. He is by Gavilan, out of Kate (Korelia), a Swedish Warmblood Mare. He is under saddle, but our only photo of the moment shows him looking past Pam to the coming feed cart.
Eli was born in June of 2006. He is a bay gelding, with 4 white socks and a blaze, and we expect him to mature between 16.2 and 17 hands. He is by Gavilan, out of Thea (Perdita), a Dutch Warmblood mare. Eli is under saddle, but the only photo we have of him shows him pestering Pam.
Annabelle was born in August of 2005. She is a bright bay mare with lots of chrome, about 16 hands, and is by Ijsselmeer, out of Thea (Perdita), a Dutch Warmblood mare. Annabelle is under saddle and a picture will be coming soon.
Zoe was born in July of 2004. She is by Ijsselmeer, out of Kessel (Jorka), a Dutch warmblood mare. She belongs to Romy and Joe. Romy is a Seven Oaks student who currently competes on one of our school horses while she waits for Zoe to grow up; Joe is Romy's partner. Zoe has Sarah on her back and is flanked by Romy and Joe.
Gracie was born in May of 2004. She is by Gavilan, out of Kate (Korelia), a Swedish Warmblood mare. She is seen here with Pamela.
Meg was born in May of 2002. She is by Gavilan, out of Finn, a Trakhener mare. She belongs to Joe, a long-time Seven Oaks student, and is seen here schooling with Joe (above) and competing with Chauna (below).
Ula is a Dutch mare, born in April or 2001, by Ijseelmeer out of Thea (Perdita). She now belongs to a former Seven Oaks trainer, Sarah. Sarah now runs her own training operation, but she and Ula still train and show with Seven Oaks.
Sam, Gonzo & Max are full siblings to Gracie & Minty: by Gavilan out of Kate (Korelia). These pictures show what they did in their showing days. Gonzo is to the right, Max is below right, Sam is below left.
